Oversensitive damage?
« on: August 30, 2010, 22:09:54 »

Hi

Was berthing the PoR in Calais, and hit the berth at approximately 0.6 knots I was suddenly shot back at 2 knots ending halfway out the berth, and started listing. I have also hit the side of the berth bumpers at Calais, and in Dover, at speeds of around 1 knot at Dover, and 0.5 knots at Calais, and find my self with a 45' list?

This seems a bit excessive, since the bumpers are designed for higher speeds? I mean berthing in Dover usually involves touching the berth, but do it at the moment ends up with you shooting 2 knots forward and damage  :-\

Hi TFM..

Known issue within the damage system.. And it is being addressed!

That's about all I can say.. but they are aware of it!

Seems like it's one way or another....I skipped the Agile Solution off an ice shelf, got a big thud and some terrible screeching sounds but stayed afloat...weird, eh?

had some insidents in multiplayer...
me spawning under the big orange tanker with my rainbow warior just sent it flying o.0
also had some strange thing in single player (first mission) i was allmost done docking the freighter and it hit the wall and started sinking inmediately after... (explains why that other ship was also half way down)

It' such a shame when you ram a whaler and YOU sink instead of him!

It's also a shame that we can't sail in their fantastic harpoon ships in SSE!

Amazing vessels! Shame that they are designed for such an evil purpose!

I know a lot of shames! Sorry!

I'm getting the same problem but in most of the missions. God help us if the real PoR did this. I travell on at least once a week.
