URGH
« on: July 14, 2010, 05:53:01 »

I'm sure this is in the wrong place, but apparently i can't gain access to technical support. I get a error that my key is registered by another user. That would be a good trick considering i bought it 3 days ago from Game Stop in it's original packaging. Nobody else is in my home other then my girlfriend who could care less about gaming.

My problem is the game only works fine if i don't try to add anything. If i update to 1.4 or install New Horizons...i get either c++ errors, or "A Channel that is needed for this project has an incorrect engine version". Problems that i've seen in other forums around the net. No solutions though.
That's a Quest error i believe. It ask's if i want to update...i do, but i get the same error. (just like everyone else). I updated c++ to try and correct that issue....but no luck there either.
Anyone out there that can help? Or should i put this in the garbage and admit i got burned?

Running Vista 32bit Intel core 2 duo 2GHz w/ 3gb ram.

Gibby's posts weren't particularly helpful.

You should send your license key, along with some form of proof of purchase (a scanned reciept e.t.c.) to the forum administrator, Mad_Fred, by Personal Message. DO NOT POST YOUR KEYS ON THE OPEN FORUM.

Your computer's processor is about 0.4GHZ under the minimum specifications, which may or may not be too muchunder to run SS08.

As for the Questviewer issue, I can't really help because I'm no expert on it. Hopefully someone who does know will be along shortly. But I do know that you shouldn't update Questviewer, no matter what.

It may be the case that we can't help you with the Questviewer issue until your keys are registered. This is because we have to know you actually own the game.Obviously, someone has managed to enter your license key. Like I said, Mad_Fred will fix it for you

Don't worry Gibby, I'm 17 and I still make mistakes.
