« on: April 03, 2010, 21:02:29 »

I know this is the 'shipsim' fourm, but I wanted to know if anyone knew where I could download the virtual sailor vessel, 'Minnie' by Jonathan grosett.    If so could you tell me where? heres a look at it to jock your memories- http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVD-FbbQVfU

or it could be any of them in the video.

As far as I know, Jonatan doesn't like that kind of sharing sending someone else's add-on trough mail. :-*

I could not agree more.  He creates a lot of bad feeling on the VS forum!

Well, Imagine if you where Jonatan and you made a bunch of add-ons for VS, releasing them trough your website and all suddenly after some months, repaints of his add-ons gets uploaded to this "famous" add-on library by strangers.

It's not  strange that an add-on developer want to protect something he spent a lot of time on.
It's like someone taking control over a persons work and behave like it was made by themselves.
In fact this happens every time, and that creates a lot of "bad feelings".

still, that member who asked for the add-on was only 10 years of age, it's not his fault that he doesn't know this. What he could have done was to explain it kindly to him, instead of filling the whole topic with negativity. Maybe he'd also be able to earn a tiny bit of respect if he was kinder.

I'd love to go & seed my sarcasm there on those kids.  But then I must be an active member or lurker there for at least 1 month to know everything around.  Otherwise I'll sound there like a complete noob who will be powned by those kids in few days.

reminds me of another forum where the rules are so strict i refuse to use it and theres also so many noobs. But the rules are just insane, they have a "reputation" system controlled by mods and admins, do something they don't like and the number goes negative. I love the game but hate the forum. This forum is probally one of the nicest ones, the staff are friendly (usually*)  and you can get alot of help here. *i think we can figure that one out

I guess I could only say the same, all this sarcasm does though frustrate me from time to time, but all in all it's a nice forum.

Hmm I'm not sure, I think at least one of the moderators is older.

The VS forum isn't a very friendly place, compared to this community it's awful :P
