No I haven't tried different browser as IE8 is the only one I have installed. I know it probally has to do with a virus as I got alot of popups and messages. I restarted once and they went away and the only issue is I can't get on the Internet. No it's not an April fools joke and I wish it was, I'm currently using my iPod touch to acres the internet plus I have a desktop.

You can never rely on a browser to protect you from virusses, you need a good anti-virus program for that..
There are many good browsers out there, but I have used Firefox for many years without problems..

HI
IE 8 are right now the most safety browse, Firefox have some safety hole that can be used to hack you PC.
and if you shall use windows update you most use IE firefox do not work with that
so one day IE are most safe and firefox are that the next day, but to be totaly safe try Opera, www.opera.com

and if you also install Spybot - Search & Destroy then you are more safe

yes Firefox is open sourced and then all hacker and so can change codes like they want to hack you PC
i us Opera and IE 8 and satisfied with those, but somebody like the mother and some the doughtier ;D
if you shall be safe you shod run Linux

I am sorry to step on your sensitivities..  :'(
This discussion is academic..Just keep IE, but use Firefox as your primary browser at the moment.. :)
