Was wondering how many users of Ship sim has or had a career at sea?

I myself was a Deck Officer for a number of years with Maersk Line (IOM) serving deep sea on gas tankers, but have been involved with ships and the sea since the age of 5, as my father was a Chief Engineer with Denholms (Glasgow) and often travelled during holidays.

ships used to be made of wood, and sailed by men of steel, now the ships are made of steel, and the men of wood.
