Off on travels
« on: October 03, 2009, 15:45:14 »

Off for a few days from tomorrow, heading down to Dover, then across to Dunkirk overnight and on to Terneuzen for 2 nights (hopefully visit Walsoorden and Antwerp also) then back via Zeebrugge to Hull. Camera batteries charged and room for 3500+ pics so fingers crossed for the weather!

Start of the trip now online at http://www.quaysides.co.uk/benelux_break1.htm - not 56k friendly though  ;D

Sorry Ferryman, there will be very little from Zeebrugge, it was absolutely hammering down when we arrived there, only just eased enough to get the "Scottish Viking" sailing and nothing else.  :(

Nice.  Great place up there on the cliffs.

Wherre had the Arrow come from? I can;'t see a wake from berth 1...

Weather is the biggest problem.

I was in Dover once and you could hardly see the ferries on the berth from the cliffs

She was already on the move as we arrived - the wake appears to be straight ahead of the outward "Seafrance Moliere". IIRC correctly there appeared to be work going on on No 1 berth - sounded like shot blasting being done.
