Good news!!the Trawler KL-749 Margiris from Parlevliet Van der Plas (IJmuiden,Netherlands) isn't allowed to fish in Australian waters for temporary time.
enviroment minister Burke is afraid that they will catch to much with results: no more fish for the local fishers.
He is also afraid that they will catch: Dolphins,see lions or seals.
The minister thinks that he needs 2 years to collect enough information. The final decision is made by Joe Ludwig from agriculture and fisheries.
The Margiris is 142 meters long and wants in 18,000 tonnes of horse mackerel and Australia redbait capture. That is half of the total Australian quota.
