We are proud to announce that the free v1.1 add-on (previously called patch) will be available for download this Friday afternoon. The size of this major update is appr. 500 megabyte. Besides fixing a lot of bugs this add-on will include a lot of new features:

• Mid-mission save function
• 20 new additional missions, so 50 missions in total!
• A system for sinking ships during missions when damaged below the water line.
• Advanced system for scoring and ranking in different ship type classes, linked to your on-line profile on the forum
• Two extra player ships: jet-ski and hovercraft
• Set waypoints yourself in free-roaming mode by point-and-click in the map.
• Extended environments for Rotterdam and Hamburg.
• Option for dual-screen users: full chart on second monitor.
• Enhanced ship bridges

Update: the mission editor will be available friday as well. This will be released in a separate patch.

The Mission Editor is UK English only, but can be used in combination with Ship Simulator 2008 in any language. The Mission Editor includes an English Manual which explains all features and possibilities.
