Because of the growing list of international clients for Ship Simulator Professional, both in desktop configurations and as part of a Full Mission bridge Simulator, VSTEP is looking for an implementation and support engineer.
You will be working for a young but fast growing innovative software company in the maritime simulation business, assisting customers like system integrators on-site with implementation projects of our maritime simulators.
You have a maritime background with strong affinity and relevant experience with ICT. You are prepared to travel overseas to support global customers for several weeks or possibly months if needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out installation, commissioning, configurations and upgrades of products and functions of Ship Simulator Professional and related software
• Test new software releases and patches for faults, and reports faults and suggestions for improvements in a clear and structured way in our bug tracker
• Communicate with customers in an effective and clear manner about development timelines of software improvements and new products
Qualifications:
• Maritime education or background
• ICT skills, like software and hardware installations, testing, fault reporting
• Analytical mindset
• Structured way of working and communicating
• Good communication skills, both to our customers and developers
• Affinity with maritime simulators
• Flexible attitude towards working conditions
• Work Permit for EU countries, and no restrictions for visa in other countries
Experience:
• Professional experience on merchant or navy vessels at officer level
• Involvement in implementation projects of Full Mission Bridge Simulators
• Experience with ICT projects, preferably simulators
Work Site: On site at customer locations and at VSTEP office in Rotterdam, The Netherlands
