I'm downloading it now. Can't wait to try it out.

I was wondering though: The ships from SS2006 and the add-on pack are not available in SS2008. Will they become available again in a patch or will they not be available anymore?

They will be made available for free to those who bought the SS06 addon if I'm not much mistaken.

Just played the demo version, and the mission itself is much better already than SS2006.
Still some strange stuff, like rescueing a liferaft which constantly flies in the air and sweeps people out and stuff, but the game looks much more fun than SS2006.
I hope patches against flying stuff will be available soon.

My graphic card (an ASUS 9550) isn't that good either, and still the game is running. Maybe not 100% good graphics, but I didn't even had to change the graphic settings. If your card can't handle it, you should maybe try to disable all the reflections etc.

Wow, this demo is really great.  I can't wait for my boxed version to get here.  Funny though, my graphics card is so far below minimum requirements yet the waves are rendered and everything looks great.  I have the same problem with the people flying around in the water.

I know I shouldn't really ask this, being the games' official forum n' everything, but is there a way of jimmying the additional ships from ss06 to work in ss08, as Iv'e already managed to get nothing but large containers sailing around in my demo! (And trust me, It's cool!)  ;D

Thanks, Sky.

I'm working on a P4 2.4 Ghz too, and I don't have problems with the game itself. Even not with the rescue boat at full speed. My graphics could be better though, but that'll be the 9550 card I guess.
