Patch downloaded and they ask me for license key...

I downloaded the patch from the official website to go fromm 1.0 to 1.4.2. the problem is, now that its installed, they ask me for a cd key. Now i bought this game from e-bay it came from europe and got to me without any cd key. theres no cd key coming with my cd, and most important, they never asked me any cd key before the patch was installed. please help me.

The key should be on the back of the game manual in the case. If it is not, get in touch with the seller of the game. If that's not possible, contact VSTEP.

Endforcer, if there isn't one in the CD case, then I think the only option for you is to buy it from either Vstep, or another copy again (somewhere cheaper).

I'd honestly never buy a used PC game from ebay or anywhere else, too risky in terms of missing cd-keys. Just some advice.

It should ask you for a CD key when you install the game, not a patch

I would very strongly suggest that you report this to E-Bay and try to get your money refunded. I doubt that Vstep will want to become involved. You can of course purchase a downloadable genuine copy from the site.

You would appear to have a pirated version, perhaps hacked and perhaps trojan infected. Who can tell?

aider you haw bean unlucky to bay a pirate copy  for when you are updated it it will ask you for the lichens key (safety) and the license key on the box version are on the cower under the dvd if you haw the resit go back to the store and say you will haw a new one, and you can scan the dvd box and the dvd it self and send it to support   http://www.shipsim.com/support/contact+us.php they are weary helpful and explain to them what the problems are god luck
