Ships do sink in SS08 movie inside
« on: July 14, 2007, 22:20:55 »

I downloaded Bottmans Pilot Duty mission and every time i got out of the harbour the cargo vessel that you see in front of you just decides to sink in style.

Don't know if anyone else has seen this or if it just happens to me but here is a movie capture of the event.

Might be a bug, but if the ships sink now, who needs the patch?

Bon Voyage,

Lighthouse.

The lighthouse, added in the 1820s to aid navigation for vessels using the deep water channels. It is still in use today and plays a central role in the navigational system for ships entering coastal Harbours.

that is a normal script that they aslo use in a other mission where a boat sinks in, but if the patch releases and you are also able to sink YOUR ship, i hope it doesn't go so fast like that  ;)

The water would seem too shallow for a ship to sink like that. It was in a harbour and there is no way the water is that deep

That ship sank way to fast. Is there a reason why it sank?

Sorry i don't.

It is only 618kb in size.

Try right clicking and save it to your hard drive and run it from there.

Something about the end of it hangs windoze media player.  But it plays OK.  And it is a really fast sinking -- not too realistic, that.

Cheers,

I had a ship sink infront of me once. And it poped up out of the water as soon as I went half way over it.
