How did these guys get up there?

I'm probably missing something obvious here, but I havent been able to figure out yet how these two guys got up on top of the chimney of a ferry, by themselves.

Well, they got up some how, but because the picture covers them sat on the funnel and not to much of the funnel itself, its hard to see any way they could get up there. Thats very stupid though, you would probably be arrested for that although it is funny.

The person on the right looks like someone who works on the ship.

Anyway, the image is a screen capture from yesterdays F1 race coverage.

Yeah obviously they did not teleport to that spot. And indeed one seems to be a crewmember. So when it is related to the F1, I guess they just climbed up for a better view.

Just at their feet, is an open hatch, presumable there is a little ladder there and a hatch to get up there, I can imagine that they might need to get up there sometimes anyway, for maintenance, or when there's a problem..

But maybe there's a ladder on the outside somewhere aswell, because that one bloke, well.. it seems he would have a bit of a hard time getting through that little hatch.
