The Solent ship positions
« on: June 22, 2008, 10:07:39 »

I found this nice site showing the names and positions of ships in the solent, currently Red Osprey is docked in Cowes, and Red Jet 4 is underway to Cowes

http://www.aisliverpool.co.uk/showship.php?mmsi=235032402
Enjoy!

I've got that site as a shortcut on my desktop, i always watch this boats going accross the Irish sea and into Dublin port. I like to watch the Dublin to Holyhead route. Also, you should be able to see the Riverdance (the ship that got beached in blackpool) on the map, although last time i checked was a long time ago, she is currently being cut up and will be sold as scrap metal, if i can i'll try and get hold of a piece of her hull hehe.

Jack.
p.s. when i say a piece i don't mean a big chunk haha :D

Maybe VSTEP can make a live AIS for SS ships ;D
It would be nice for multi player so you don't have to connect to a server just to see if there are any online. :)

I looked in Liverpool and the RiverDance has gone   :(

RIP

This site is really interesting, the Pride of Rotterdam must be delayed or out of service as shes coming into upto Spurn head in Hull right now - i don't know where shes going to dock though, the Pride of Hull is currently in the P&O berth

EDIT: Looks like shes actually going the other way, heading out of Hull

I agree, instead of having to constantly refreshing the spawnpoint selction map to see where other players are going, it could refresh itself

Do you think we will ever be able to use lifeboats on ships? (random question) and do you think we will see this in SS09?
