That's a good point, and well Shane.. if I were you, I would indeed sell all the ones that are worse than the best one, and put that money into upgrading that best one.
Or keep the best desktop and the best laptop, so you have a fixed machine and a mobile machine to work on, for example. Apart from maybe planning to set up a network, you really only need 2 of them that way, I reckon.
Tips for Win98.. well.. I have one.. try to forget about a lot of better features that came with the newer versions of Windows, that might help..
Win98 is pretty obsolete indeed. You pretty much need at least XP nowadays. It's like getting rid of your big screen color TV in favour of an old, small black and white TV.
If they can handle it, I would put XP on them if I were you. If they cannot handle XP, then I reckon they cannot really offer you some good use anyway. And if you have a better pc/laptop that does have xp, that kinda makes the Win98 machines useless. I got an attic full of thatkinda stuff, but I'm too lazy to sell them, so it all ended up, up there.
