that is a very nice model there Captain...with which modelling program did you use to make it? To put it into SS08, youd probably need to change alot...of course im not an expert on this though...and youd have to make a working bridge

Not right on the topic, but still, the "Independence of the Seas" is now ready, and soon leaving the shipyard for good, travelling towards Oslo.
Some pictures can be seen here. (http://www.fsnordic.net/discussion/index.php/topic,49525.msg896146.html#msg896146). Sorry for the language. :)

Some good images there!  She is definitely on the larger side of things, but that does at least give passengers a choice as to what type of ship they want to sail on.  Thankfully we all have different tastes - some of us prefer these mega-ships; others like smaller vessels.

However I believe there is a limit to the size of which these cruise ships can be built - although there are no physical problems with building even larger ships, the issue comes when passengers & crew want to go ashore, especially when there are multiple cruise ships in the same port.  The local infrastructure of many ports may not be big enough to accommodate all of these people, and could (in theory) have long-term environmental impacts.

Well I guess they make a own docking facility on board where they keep a smaller passenger boat inside the cruise ship that can easily leave it at open sea and depart a harbor. Now they use some of the life boats onboard to bring people to land. Talking 10-20 years from now it may be even possible that they have a own small air port on board. But i think the way to have smaller boats on board the mother ship is the way to do it :)

Showing off other people's work as your own, again, is very much frowned upon.

Topic locked!

Capt. Rodrigues, next time make sure you really make something yourself before you call it your own.
Excuses about fixing the model do not make up for the fact that you told us that YOU yourself made it at first. The same was true for your Delftship demo "ripoff" a while ago. I suggest you cease such activities on this forum. Thank you!

Regards,
Fred
