HM and their authority.
« on: March 23, 2008, 15:02:36 »

I was kicked last night by a Hm as i didnt obey him? i said i wasnt interested in being orderd to my berth and shall make my own way politely... he initiated a kick vote and the other sheep just  followed...this is not fair as i can do as i wish if im not hindering or impeding any one elses enjoyment on the server.

Also why im posting on a different topic, the phi phi server seems to have morphed into a ramming server! my last 2 visits seem to be a free for all. Is this the norm , if it is ill steer clear but would like to use a power boat and this seems to be the only one.

Hi jamino  :)

As mentioned several times before, self-pronounced harbour masters have no authority on VSTEP-servers. To disobey such a harbour master is no valid reason for kicking. Please report this incident to a moderator or an admin and include the following information:

1) Name of the culprit. *
2) Server name.
3) Date.
4) Time.  + timezone
5) Screenshots or copy of chattext

* Note: The Multiplayer Administrators need the culprit's forum name. Their screen name is useless to them. You can see a player's forum name when you click on their name in the user list. The name on top is their screen name, the one that is also in their player icon. The one below it is their forum name. Please use this name in your report.

Regards

Sufice it to say:  If they don't own the server, they have no authority.   ::)

I like the harbour master idea as it gives players tasks and makes the world seem much more alive and realistic, but kicking someone just for not wanting to play along with the HM's scenario that's just wrong.
