There is this bug(?) where player ships have headless drivers when watching from another boat. Is this fixed in ss08?

Don't think I've ever noticed a driver at all in 08!! I'll have to look and see.

so they fixed it by romoving the drivers?

No idea,, never really looked to see if there was a driver,, but by looking at the screenshot it is a pretty big upgrade in other aspects such as the nav chart, graphics, multiplayer ability, and such. There are passengers that you pick up that have heads though
