The QE2 has been sold

Hiya :)

Was watching BBC Breakfast this morning, QE2 has been sold to the Palm Resort in Dubai for £50,500,000 and is to be turned into a floating hotel :o

"She is coming to a home where she will be cherished."

He's probably right. If it stayed in Britain it would get destroyed by fire, vandalism or whatever. Or eventually scrapped after every government inquiry had given conflicting opinions on what to do.
