License Key
« on: October 13, 2011, 00:23:39 »

After patiently waiting 72 hours for an email back which never arrived i decided to try here.  When i go to download content or multiplayer it says "Your license key is not registered on the forums please go to forums.shipsim.com"

How do i fix this issue?

Thanks

Simple, if you go into your forum profile, there will be a box to enter your licence key  :)

Hi
If you have the steam version you will need to enter both keys
in your forum profile.

I just bought all the DLC but when I launch it it asks for a license key, I then enter the license key on the back of the manual but it says it is invalid.

There is only the one license key, how am I supposed to get the DLC to work?

Where did you buy SSE and the DLC from?? Was it from the VStep site or from Steam??

If you purchased SSE from Steam then all additional DLC must come from them. You cannot mix the VStep and Steam game versions.

I just bought this game, and I have reg the key I got from Steam. The other key I have I've lost fire digits. Is there any place were I can ask for my key?

And I have another problem. I just downloaded the ferrypack for Ship Simulator, but when Im going to install it this message came up:

"Unable to locate a valid Ship Simulator Extreme installation".

Whats wrong ?

Hi  olajooh
If you bought the game from steam you should have both keys registered in steam library
the ferry pack should install automatically once purchased from steam.

Hey Eric

I bought the game from cdon.com and downloaded the ferrypack from www.shipsim.com. So I got the activation code on a piece of paper. But the problem is that four of the digits are missing (something is spilled on the paper, therefore missing four digits), so is there any place where I can ask for my activation code?

Your original purchase would seem to be validated by Steam. In this case you should have bought the Ferry Pack from Steam also. As Eric says, if the game is from Steam, then BOTH licence keys should be available from Steam.
It is not possible to mix Purchases from Vstep directly with purchases from Steam.

Okey, but I find the ferrypack from Steam, and Steam linked me to www.shipsim.com.
