64 bit Win7 files in X386
« on: June 28, 2012, 17:58:12 »

Hi all, I am not sure that I did the right thing to install Ship Sim Extreme into the Program files X386 rather than Program files, which would then make it 64 bit and using all of my 4 gig's of memory. In the X386 program files it is in 32 bit system and can not use all the available 4 Gig's but only 2.89 or so according to the tech guys. Should I uninstall the Ship sim from X386 and reinstall into the Program files 64 bit space? Your help would be appreciated. Regards Peter

SSE installs by default in Program Files(x86) on a computer with a 64 bit OS and in Program Files on a computer with a 32 bit OS.  SSE is a is 32 bit  program so you can install it anywhere you like an it will only run in 32 bit.  Its probably best installed in Program Files (x64 so that future updates etc know where to find it.
