If you have that unrealistic thruster sound on the bridge after 1.4 it's easy to get it fixed. You can simply disable the soundfile, but I use the PoR sound which is more realistic.
SSE->Projects->SSE->Content->Sound->Entity->Ships->Engines
05 is file you don't want, remove or rename to whatever. 03 is PoR, copy and rename to 05.
I've also attached a horn file which sounds more like a modern cruiseship. If you want to use it go to the Horns folder and replace the 01 file, use the same filename. The volume of this file has been adjusted so you can actually hear the horn.
