Hi all, I have bought a copy of Ship Simulator 2008 from www.cex.co.uk (Computer Exchange) and it arrived this morning. Sadly when I opened up the case there was no insert/booklet. Can anyone help me please I really want to play the game! I have spoken to CEX but they have been useless! Many thanks in advance, Dave Hughes

You are in a bit of a tight spot. It is unfortunate that the booklet / manual was not there as that is where the License key is printed. If the previous owner has already registered the key in the Forum here then you cannot use it. If he has unregistered the key before selling it then you have some hope. But then again you do not know who the previous owner was so that's not going to help.

I did check the CEX website and they still have four SS 2008 in stock. The price was quoted at £2.50 which is extremely low compared to 17 Euros for a new one from www.shipsim.com (but with a guarantee that it will work !!!). Second hand PC games do face such problems and the seller always has his terms (that leans more towards him) especially when he is selling it for such a low price. In my opinion, I think you should just go ahead and buy the legal download version from www.shipsim.com

Good for you ! Please register the License key in your Profile in this Forum. If it is accepted for registration then it makes you the sole owner of that disk. I hope the previous owner unregistered the Lic. key before he sold it.
