What exactly does the shift-arrow button do?
Hi Azipod,
The "Shift + --->" combination allows incremental increase of the direction of the azipod thrust. To achieve this, hold the Shift key down and tap on the left (or right) arrow key. You will observe that the azipod control will turn in increments. If you wish to stop the azipod control at a particular angle, release the
arrow key first and then the Shift key. If you wish to bring the control to the "0" position again, just tap any of the arrow keys once.
Similarly, you can employ the same method if you want to increase / decrease the RPM in increments by using the Up / Down arrow keys. To stop at a particular RPM use the same method as described above. But I observed that after Update 1.3, a single tap on either of these arrow keys does not bring the the control lever to the "0" RPM position. I have to use either the Numpad 4 or 6 keys.
It is just a matter of choice as some may find it easier to do all of the above using the mouse.
