They've just released the main version and are in the middle of making a patch. Sorry mate but you've got a while to wait i'm afraid.

As far as I know, Ship Sim Pro will be exactly like Shipsim, plus the possibility to connect external navigation hardware (electronic charts from the real world).

So, I don't really understand what you mean by your "Is the Ship Simulator Professional working with SS08?" !

And, unless you alreay own real navigation hardware (or intend to buy one), I doubt the professional version will be of any use for you !

What I mean: I bought SS08 but when you buy that professional version it comes with SS06 (witch I also bought). Now I want to know: is this professional working with the SS08 version? So if I buy this proffesional version and install it together with the SS08 will it work?
And I'm waiting for that console with is in development.

Hi akkres! :)

You cannot use you SS06 Pro with SS08.

There will probably not be a Pro version of SS08 until next year.

So it hase no sense to buy this professional version. I hope they will bring out the proffesional 08 version soon! and when possible with a more reasonable price for SS08 owners!

As you can see for yourself with the 1.1 RC, VSTEP has plenty to do. Then add multiplayer, SS06-add-on conversion for SS08 and possibly a vessel subscription service... I'm quite sure that the SS08 Pro version won't be here 'soon'.  ;)

That they are bussy we know. But mayby they have taken a bit too much work. The had better delayed the SS08 version and make a good product instead of waiting 2 months for a patch.
If they want too sell this professional version of Ship Simulator than they must upgrade this too in my opinion. And i like to buy this proffesional version but not with an old SS06 version of course. Maby it is a good idea for V-Step to sell the proffesional version only as hardware with drivers to work with SS06/SS08. Or give me half the money back of SS08 when buying this proffesional version.

Personally I don't think the physics of the ship handling is accurate enough for a truly professional version, it would be loads of fun and I am sure it would be useful for training in terms of using the nav aids which were connected to it, but for ship handling training it is just not accurate enough.

I am not griping, I love the game, just my opinion.
