You need to register your license key in your forum profile to access that board.

Hi Leon welcome to the forums! :)

I think what Marty meant to say was that to post technical support topics like yours we ask that you post them in the correct section, but in order to do that you need to register your Ship Simulator 2008 registration key into your forum profile.

You can do this by clicking on 'Profile' at the top of the screen and then scrolling down to the box to register your key. Enter your key into the box and click 'Register'.

Once you have registered you key, I can then move your topic into the right section.

As for your issue, you might want to post us your DXDIAG report, which will help us see if your computer is capable of running the game and see if there should be anything updated.

Your dxdiag can be obtained by following these instructions:

Click Start > Run. type in dxdiag and press Enter.  You may see a popup asking about WHQL drivers, click Yes/Ok to proceed.

In the window that appears, click the button that says Save All Information, when the Save Dialog box appears, save the file to your desktop.  To upload the file here, click Additional Options underneath the reply area and choose Browse near Attach.  Browse to your desktop, click the file and click Open.

*  Windows Vista and 7 users need to press the Windows Key + R to access the Run prompt.

You can then post your reply with the file attached.

If you could post us that it would be great. Ohh and I removed a couple of your posts since you posted the same information twice. No worries though! ;)

Regards,
Adam

The link I posted explains that you should not download and install a new version of QuestViewer because it will not work with Ship Simulator. You must completely remove Ship Simulator from your computer and reinstall it by following the instructions in that post.

Regards,
Marty

Be sure that you run the installation and update programs as Administrator.
