You are indeed the "guru" when it comes to matters regarding the relationship between FPS and the CPU. The gfx card does seem secondary. I suppose some of the the "Core i7 guys" will certainly be disappointed !!!
After having authored many tutorials, I honestly think you should write an article about FPS and hardware matters and post it permanently on the Forum. It would certainly give an insight to many before they vent their ire on the Forum.
