Missing boats?

Hi all.

I'm not sure if this is spoken of before but why is there at least two boats that are in the preview films that you can't play with in the game?

When you install patch 1.2 there comes a picture in the installer of a sort of small tanker boat, mostly blue colored, if I remember right. This boat we cant drive neither the Japaneese harpun ship, I would sure had loved the oppurtunity to manouvre a harpun ship in the Antarctic , but instead we can only drive the slow boats of Greenpeace. Will they become avaliable in the shipyard?

That's are AI and static ships in the game, if they will be player ship sometime? don't think so, sorry

But I was just wondering if there was a possiblity to merge the ai whaler with an playable ship? Do you know what I mean? For instance: Driving the whaler using the cutters panel/instruments?

I really want to drive these boats hehe  So in a way I'm quite dissapointed over that Vstep didn't include them in the game

I just came over this page http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/446570 and saw the boat I'm looking for.

Since I have deep x i was wondering if I could convert it over to SSE and drive it? So what kind of file do I need to convert to? I know that in VS you have to convert to an x file to see you boat in the game, what is it in SSE? Anyone who knows.

VSTEP are the only people who can take a 3D model and import it into Extremes I'm afraid. Sorry!

I desperately need help right now Just bought the whaling boat from the page I showed one post earlier, and I cant open it :S Anyone knows of a program that can open MAX files and convert them to x files? Plz need help...

You can't add the vessel yourself to ShipSim Extremes. Beside the model itself it takes a dozen (or a multiple of that) steps to get the vessel in the game.

You can always add it to VS, but for that you need to be on the VS forum

Thx, allthough I have the ship in VS now, I would sure loved having it playable in SSE,with much more detailed environnments and instruments, I reallt think it's a shame not having those amazing ships in the game. Allthough I dont like what the boats do, I find how there looking to be one of the coolest ships on earth, just my opinion
