Hi Yudax,

This particular ocean featured here was tuned down for performance reasons. The oceans looks very good as it is, but I don't think there any plans to change the ocean system in the next patch.

Hi Yudax,

V1.3 should contain the Mission Editor, which allows considerable control over the ocean appearance in missions that you create.
It will also be possible to have the sea state change during the mission.

This does not mean, however, that one can go completely ape and make humongous waves that the ships simply will not be able to handle.
