Hi Cory,
Your attitude is a sensible one. However, it is easiest if you just briefly describe what you think is a bug. A moderator can then check the VSTEP bug tracker and report the bug if it has not already been noted.
For those who don’t know, there is program where all bugs, anomalies, and feature requests are entered by Moderators and Beta testers, and by the Developers. These are checked at least daily by Moderators, so they are aware of most bugs before you discover them. Do not worry about telling us of a known bug, as long as you do it nicely.
Regards,
Marty
FYI: There are 3253 reports on the SSE bug tracker at this moment.
Not all are bugs; of course, many are duplicates, or suggestions for improvements. Many reports are of typos in objective messages, etc. And, of course, most have been fixed long before the release.
I give you this number simply as an indication of how much careful checking is done at each stage of the development.
I’m sure some idiot will interpret that number as an indication of carelessness. Hopefully few are so abysmally ignorant of the software development process that they will make that mistake.
