Welcome!

   It is possible in free roam to go to Tenerife or "around the world"? I would like to go to Tenerife, I choose FREE ROAM and ATLANTIC OCEAN because I didn`t find location which is nearest Tenerife. I don`t know where I am when I am in game. At center of atlantic ocean? maybe on south?   I was thinking that it will be like in Silent Hunter 3 - zoom out map, add waypoints to Tenerife and go. Map in SSE is... so "small" - it has so small zoom out :/. How can I take a trip without PROFESSIONAL map with all continents :/. Information on map says: "you are small black ship in white area" - nothing else, so this map is not usefull :(. SO WHERE I CAN FIND MY GEOGRAPHIC COORDINATES?

I founded at radar only this:

bora bora island:

"lat. 596523* 14` 1.#R``S
 lon. 596523* 14` 1.#R``W"

I was thinking that this is geographic coordinates. So I choose in free roam for example DOVER - and I was thinking that this numbers will change but it was the same :(. So I think this is not my geographic coordinates ;(.

 Whithout this problem... game is beautiful. Im in LOVE. Pleas help me.

Hello Pedro86 and welcome to the forum! Unfortunately you can't go to Tenerife and see scenery. I suppose that you could go to the coordinates, but you wouldn't see anything. Sorry

Tenerife is not in the game so you can't go there.

@pedro86
If you want to cruise around Tenerife I suggest you have a look at VSF (Vehicle Simulator). You can cruise around the world if you so wish. Make custom scenarios using real world geographic data and build ships to share with others.

VSF has a great potential, not as polished or professional as SS08/SSE, but the community is serious and the software has an open atmosphere inviting for tweaks and constant development.

Just a tip,

with VSF, indeed, you can sail - with more or less details - the whole world.

But you would have to make the sacrifice of a realistic ship handling and behaviour ....

Those software are very different !

OW THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH FOR ANSWERS!  :2thumbs:  :-*.

I can see on screen that this VSF has good graphic too. Hmm... I know - maybe worse than SSE. I will check this game:). But SSE is still interesting for me :). Thank You once again. I was thinking that nobody answer me or I will must wait much time to answer but I was wrong :). THANKS :). Sorry form my english.

  I can`t find full VSF :(. Demo is to "small" to have opinion about buying or not buying this game:(. I didn`t find shop/internet shop in my country in witch i can buy this game. Is it opportunity to check game before buying game from USA? I must have 100% of certainty that this game is perfect for me before I buy it.

@Denis,
yes, like I said, VSF is not in the same league as Ship Sim, but talking about realistic ship handling, VSF is reaching for the same goal and got a commited community that improve the sim day by day. Realistic ship handling is something VSTEP also need to look into, judging from the review of posts here.

Dont get me wrong, I love the Ship Sim series, and will go on from SS08 to SSE when its fixed (still awaiting the demo). Since I like to create very detailed bathymetry VSF works really well, even tho the engine simulation is a bit limited so far. The scripting technique is also evolving.

Enough said, if you have any questions pedro - about VSF, let me know.

Any idea? :) I know that downloading is bad. But i bought NFS UNDERCOVER. It was a big mistake :(. Now I will never buy game without playing in full version. I bought NFS pro street, Carbon and fallout 3 :) and I`m happy with this choice because I was playing it. So I would like to check this Vehicule Simulator :).

By The Way: VS = vehicule simulator but why you use "F" letter in it?  (VSF) :)

Well pedro,
if you are not satisfied with what the demo shows you, then the only way to find out about the full product is buing the full product from their hompage (digital download works fine). Featurewise it's not the same as SSE/SS08 (like I & Denis pointed out), but rather lives on the openess of the code where you can customize sceneries and ships. If that is what you are interested in, then it could be a go. I suggest you contact the developer and direct your specific questions to him/them. Im sure he would be glad to help.

If you have any specific questions to me about VSF (Vehicle Simulator Framework) I suggest you PM me.

BTW, I've just looked at the youtube video for vs.... Ahem, much improved. Still not as professional looking as sse, but I hope vstep doesn't ignore it (constructive criticism...)

I'm still waiting for the demo version i.e. I don't own SSE yet, hence no right to register under SSE. I have 3 licenses registered under SS08.
