Ship Sim Radio - New DJ!
« on: August 21, 2010, 01:44:45 »

Hi all,

Just to let you know that I am now A DJ on Ship Sim Radio and will be bringing a new lease of life into the station.

What? Another DJ you say?
Yes! Having spoke to all concerned we all felt it would be beneficial to have a DJ played music from early evening to early in the morning. This provides listeners with more music, meaning less 'quite time' on the radio :)  This also ensures that listeners from other time zones still get their fair share of online music time

What sort of music will you be playing?
Well I will be playing a variety of music, mostly chart and new releases from early evening up until about midnight. However I do specialise in trance and house music and will be mixing tracks from 11pm most nights until the early hours of the morning.

You can still request music during both the chart show and the trance sessions. I will also be playing some old classics which you can also request such as Lasgo, Milk Ink, Cascada, Ian Van Dahl, Scooter and much more.

So if you have any questions regarding the mixes or anything about me then please let me know. My DJ profile will be on the SSR website over the next few days.

I may also consider publishing a studio video so you can see how things are done and all the equipment we use! :)

Any questions, just ask!

Thanks!

Thanks Ballast!

I've always wanted to start a radio station, and infact did seriously look into running my own station, but it was not financially viable due to the costs involved.

However I have a chance to have a taster and will be on air either tomorrow or Sunday depending on how soon I can rack my second set of CD players and organise myself.

...and yes, you are absolutely right, step it up a notch

trance and house music is that music that puts you to sleep and music made by houses/bricks?

Well god luck Captain Spencer

TFM - Nah trance music is atmospherical music which is both uplifting and sensual :)  House music is more funky, but like a harder version of trance in a way.

Captain Cadet - I work as a website designer and computer technicial during the day, but I also do disco and gigs which is what inspired me to become a radio DJ :)

I got to sample a slice of it last night/this morning, and have to say it was very professional sounding, even if it's not really my cup if tea ;) hopefully Adams enthusiasm will help bring the station forward :)

Well worth staying up for if I haven't made you go brain dead lol

Sounds Great Adam! I'll be tuning in for sure as there is never a show on in my time zone when I go to listen in the afternoon here. I would broadcast sometime but I dont seem to have much time on my hands, anyways good luck!
