Ocean Star controls
« on: January 03, 2010, 16:24:51 »

I have discovered some kind of a bug in the ocean star's controls.

If i try to turn the ship, the azipods wont turn back to their normal positions when i let go of the controls.
And for those who didn't understand, i press the arrow key, which should turn the ship, then i let go of it but the azipods still remain in the minimum or maximum positions and the ship continues turning... :o

What is this? Do i have to use joysticks or steering wheels..? ???

PS: The steering can still be returned to the normal angle by pressing throttle or reverse.

EDIT: Just noticed that if i press throttle while steering everything works ok  Stupid me ;D

Hi Racer,
Controlling azimuth drives is explained in the PDF that you can download from here:
http://80.95.161.114/shipsim/forum/index.php/topic,2886.msg28895.html#msg28895

It also explains how the right Shift key works in conjunction with the arrow keys.

Thanks!

@Captain Cadet: You're having problems with the steering? It's easy to fix it by reversing the steering controls (So turning right rotates the azipods to the left and so on...)
Anyway, if you didn't have a problem, sorry for this useless reply ;D Your reply looked like you had problem with the ship :)
