Tendervessel Nomadic?
« on: May 14, 2007, 07:51:35 »

Hello in the english forum,

I ve postet this idea already in the german forum but i think nobody really is interrested.

I wish for more action with the Titanic the old tendership from Cherbourg, the S.S. Nomadic. So you can bring people to the Titanic at the open Sea scenery. Also I think, a steam tugboat is a good idea.

Here you have some informations about the S.S. Nomadic:

http://www.nomadicpreservationsociety.co.uk/index.asp

and the blueprints:

http://www.nomadicpreservationsociety.co.uk/technical.asp?p=2

greetings Strassenkreuzer

Sorry I wrote a t like in the german is (ist). I am sorry but i corrected it.

Nomadic looks like an interesting ship -- I'd be glad to see her in ShipSim.

But why do you think steam tugboats are not a good idea?

Cheers,
Michael

 :D Hi Luc,

I was in English mode and simply inserted a (not) missing "n". Mea culpa.

I really think a polyglot forum (well, maybe limited to English, French, and German) would be easier.

Cheers,
Michael

Hello Michael,
A polyglot forum would indeed be nice, but here and there, some people would get frustrated, not so much in Europe where most people understand foreign languages, but on other planets? AngloSaxons?  ;D

And I agree with you, maybe limited to English, French, and German! Dutchmen are so fluent in English that there is no need of Dutch  ::).

I also think that the idea of incorporating the Nomadic, or the Birkenhead/Gallic, would be nice and would  enhance the Titanic sceneries.

Regards,
Luc

I very much like this idea and I am all for it! Marvelous photo, also, BTW. I have never seen that one.

On the photo, there it was the year 2000 I guess, she serves as a restaurant in the Seine, in Paris.

In this video her upper decks has been sheared off. I heard she is in Harland & Wolff shipyard now, where she is made and where the Titanic was laid. but I have searched all over there and couldn't find her. Maybe she's inside.
