Pearl harbor December 7th 1941 A Day of infamy. it was a regular sunday people getting ready for a basket ball game the team from the USS. Tenesee againt.... uh i forgot but any way ome people slept in and others saw planes on the top deck they thought it was there own but it was the Japs a sailor sow the red meatball on the side(thats what they called it) and called out " JAPS MAN YOUr BATTLE STATIONS THIS IS nOT A DRLL".
It soon came on the intercom some people were shaked awake by torpedoes and bombs . it began it lasted for 6:00 to 10:00 THe USS.ARIZONA was sunk by a single bomb. HOW? the bomb landed in th cargo hold were they store torpedoes ammo and stuff like that and blew the ship in two. the oklehoma was capized. after about hour the USS. Navada tries a daring escape but runs aground near the shore and towed bacl later.
Many lives were lost that day maybe some of your ancestors.
