Agreed, they all do different things. They're all on the bridge, but you can only control the ones for the Port and Starboard engines.  :(

Also, you can't get onto the docking bridge.  :(

That center propeller is putting a drag on the ship. :( Which is slowing it down. I have only got it to 17 knots.

Does the rudder visibly move when your turning?

Thanks!  :)
I'm in two minds about ss- whether to get the 24 pound ss08 boxed version which may run reasonably on my system, or just to buy a special ed ss06 with add-on pack, which I know would run like a dream. which is only 17 quid. What would anyone here who already has ss08 recommend?

Thanks, Sky.

I personally would go for SS2008. Better functionality, more ships and way more areas to sail in! The solent alone makes it worth it, better weather, better seas and waves (and actual oceans) plus more to come in patches.

Provided a cruise ship will be coming to SS2008 at some point, it beats SS2006 hands down.

O.k, I shall get ss08, not just cos of the red hot graphics and extra nicies, but As I live in the Solent area (Hayling Island) I am intrigued to see it in the game! (Might even see my house! ;D)

Thanks, Sky

I like Ship Simulator 2006 better because the Titanic goes faster and you have the engine telegraph as the throttle.

WOW! There's a lot of old topics being revived today... I wonder if anyone will find my sense of humour lurking somewhere in the archives...

TFM. That's not funny, OK?  (This is in advance of whatever insult he says)

What do you mean - he complained about not having the Right Controls:

Quote
engine telegraph as the throttle

Which we didn;t but do now through the superpack

Go to www.shipsim.com then to the Shipyard and download the Titanic Super Pack. Then as TFM says, you'll have them back.  :2thumbs:

And a number of other things, like an extended horn sound, improved lights, more missions.....
