Hey all i need to get a new pc for the upcoming ss10 so i was just wondering does anyone know where i can get a decent system i got a budget from £500 up to £1,000 if anyone has an idea of where i can get a decent system can u please post a link or info etc and ty in advanced for any replys

Bear in mind that the systems you are looking at do not have a GUI, (Windows xp/Vista/Windows 7), you have to pay extra for that. They do not have a monitor either, (and in some cases they don't have a keyboard and mouse).

These two supply systems with Windows 7 Home 64 bit. That is only the box, no monitor,no keyboard, no mouse.

Have a look around. Type in Bing or Google or whatever, 'Gaming PC' and see what comes up. Make sure that you read them very carefully, especially if you go for a custom system, (the price may only include motherboard/processor/ram/power supply), you then have to see how much a hard drive/GUI/DVD/keyboard/mouse and monitor costs.

As I have said in other posts, a computer that can run SSEx may not need to be as powerful as you think. My advice is to wait and see.

I wish the same could be said of all the systems available now.
Vista now seems to be a stable GUI that has a better, more efficient, way of using memory.
Windows 7 seems to be even better than that. It isn't as memory hungry as Vista and the graphics are generally better.

The reason that I am recommending a gaming computer is that...
If you spend out for a system this year and then one year down the line you cannot play your favourite game, (which might not be SS Extremes), then you may not have the funds to go for another system.
Most gaming computers are expandable. You should be able to upgrade to a 64bit Windows 7 and then upgrade your memory to 6/8 GB if needed. You should be able to upgrade your graphics card or even your CPU.

I suppose that I'm talking about future proofing really, you want a computer to be able to do everything you want for the next four or five years.
