IoW ferry terminals
« on: August 08, 2007, 20:39:50 »

Out of curiosity, does anyone know who actually owns the ferry terminals? Are they owned by Wightlink and RedFunnel respectively, or are they owned by the port authorities?

Just curious.

As far as I am aware all of the current ferry terminals are owned by the companies (though I am not sure about Ryde peir).

There are plans to create another "council" owned car ferry port that is available for use by any company who wants to use it - this is an attempt to break the manopoly of the current companies and try to drive the costs of travel to and from the I.O.W.
