Ship Sim 2006 Add on

I am keen to buy the recent add on for Ship Sim 2006 but I will also be purchasing Ship Sim 2008 when it comes out. Will I be able to use the ships in the add on with 2008, or will they be included in that game anyway or will they be replaced by other ships?

It is 2 separate games like the sims 1 and the sims 2

I still have yet to get the add-on for 06...that is unless they are included in the 08 version.

The 2006 ships will eventually be added, once they have been updated for Ship Sim 08, but they won't be in the initial release.  However, I think the Titanic may be included.

Indeed, it is exactly as Captain Davies says:

The initial release will not have the support for the Add-On pack currently on sale, we will need the update the ships first to the guidelines of the new game. We currently have the release of the Add-On patch set for September 2007.

This patch that will enable the use of the Add-On in Ship Simulator 2008 will only be available as a download version from our site. The patch will require a valid Ship Simulator 2006 Add-On license key to work.

Many thanks for your helpful replies. I have been out and bought the 2006 add-on  (last of the big spenders!!) and like it.
