Hi, Anyone have a profile for the saitek x52 for use in ss 2008? I keep trying to do it myself but always end up with a confused set of functions. Thanks.  :)

Hi mdfitch,

I don't have an X-52, but an X-46. The may use the same software though, but I do not use a profile and I would actually just assign the buttons and axis in the game itself, if I were you. I don't use it anymore for shipsim, but when I did at first, I just did it that way.

Regards,
Fred

I did have one, and I think I may have a profile somewhere.

I'll have a look when I get back home (currently a bit too far away to pull the archive CDs off the shelf).

But, my choice of functions may not make very much sense to you.

Mad_Fred: That's X45, not X46. :)
Btw. The pro-version of X52 has it's own lcd-display which in FSX shows and can be used to change the radio frequencys etc. This function could be used in SS10 for navigation and speed controlling systems along others numerous applications in the sim.. not drooling here.  ;)

Hi mdfitch.

Sorry, got back but I can't find that old profile. I may have deleted it.  :'(

Thanks guys, I remember a really great profile for ship sim 2006 that used most of the potential of the controller, I could run without touching the keyboard, it was really  good for dual engines and for scanning the views etc. the crane functions for loading containers was quite realistic.. Well I guess I should just buckle down and figure out my own. the biggest issue is the dual engines etc. Anyway, thanks for the responses, and a happy weekend to all
