Ship Simulator Collectors Edition is just Ship Simulator 2008, and new horizons on 1 disc.

Ahoy Ship(sim)mates
There was a ShipSim 2006 Collectors edition. On disk one the game, on disk two some wmv (movie) files. Maybe that's the same. For the SS08 and the NH on one DVD look here

There's been a release of the English and Dutch collector's edition. Look here: http://www.shipsim.com/products/ship+simulator+2008+ce.php (http://www.shipsim.com/products/ship+simulator+2008+ce.php).
Shame I already have both SS2008 and NH, otherwise I would sure have purchased it :P :D.

Ahoy Nathan|C & Thruster
Have a close look at the box. What do You see? The SS Rotterdam beeing towed to her (final) berth.
So I guess she's NOT playable :(

That doesn't really mean she won't be playable. The Ocean Star is being towed on the NH box  ;)

"SS Rotterdam" is for the Dutch version only. No player ship, no AI no nothing else... :-\

What is VSTEP up to now, "Two extra missions featuring the SS Rotterdam" in Dutch version. So it could mean that they may have given players which can understand dutch and are from around that area a brand new boat to play with or just another boat to practice towing....hmmm more likely to given available new boat?

Just a little other thing, when i looked at the box, i saw the two tugs shiny and high graphics, good bow wake foam being produced from the bow, and great behavior of wake trail and detail, now im wondering is it my computer, or is it the high performance computer that VSTEP have or is it just great artwork? Because that's the kind of detail im looking towards having in my game.

Here's a little Surprise :)

I think it's just because of the coincidence that VSTEP's office is in Holland :D

Hello Thruster, look what i have found http://www.hangsim.com/vs/boats.php?dzone=bship, that's right virtual sailor has SS Rotterdam, but will SS08 or SS09 have it? or here http://www.hangsim.com/vs/shot.php?img=images/downshots/rotterdam.jpg, of course it needs more work in order to be up to SS08 standards dough..

VSTEP always do that, the bow splashes and wakes on the box of NH and the original SS2008 look better than the actual game. Saying that, it's hard to find a game with the same quality of the box picture.

Not only VSTEP...the cover of a game does usually have content that have been modified just too make it look more impressive for the customer. Probably rendered from the game and afterwards modified in Photoshop. It's a marketing trick..a pretty old one actually. ;)
It's not always "what you see on the cover is what you get" :) You get the boats but you may not get the same graphics ;D

(the same goes for Spambots... :P :P)
