Had a minor bug tonight - there was a sunken sherpa sailing straight past me while in the harbour at Marseille!!

first of all, 'sarr.' letters on redjet4 deck are not a bug. i'm the one to 'blame' for this. it's just a kind of an easter egg - i've been wondering who would find those first ;]
there are certain conditions under which you can see these 'easter eggs', sometimes it's even hard to notice them at glance - and you have to type certain keystrokes during the game to activate them [type again to deactivate]. usually while playing the game and typing, one of the game menus would appear so it's hard to type whole key combinations - however, seems like it's relatively easy to activate these 'cheats' by accident when typing chat messages in multiplayer mode. 'sarr.' is not the only one 'cheat-slash-easter-egg' in SS08 - there are more, depends on the ship you play - feel free to experiment :]
no worries, these are not affecting the game anyway - they're just small gfx effects.

Sarr, let me say: Experimenting on my own was really, really hard - too hard. :-\ I tried a lot of keystrokes, but didn't find a single new easter egg.
Are there easter eggs for all ships?
Are there more key combinations for rpa12 & tug than the two you mentioned?
What kind of key combinations are they: Only english words ...or random key combinations, too? (...I assume choosing your name for an easter egg was an exception)

different ships have different specials... there you are, try these words - 'flames', 'megamindy', 'candles', 's a r r', 'barels', 'chemical', 'bonfire' - some will work on few ships, some on another ones, some only on one certain ship... i didn't intend to make them an official part of the game - anyway, maybe i'll publish sort of more detailed manual some day... have fun typing...

I'll have to try it when I get home (at work right now and can't play :'( ) But does one of those easter eggs put your ship on fire where others can see it in Multiplayer by chance? If so would be kewl and means my suggestion is already in place ;D
