SS08 didn't exist. Maybe they couldn't afford it?
Don't use that many smiley's. And you shouldn't be talking since you spelled didn't, port, worst, sorry, and I am sure something else also.

Nice Video
Though you actually meant hard a port!! The film was grammically wrong. Also it is stop PORT engine, not left. Otherwise it is good. Engine stop time is slightly unrealistic, as it was manual and would have taken approx 30 seconds, no effect would have been felt until then.
But all in all a very good video

he tried his hardest,peopel arewnt perfect so be happy you got t o watch it.they WERE supposed to turn right in real life but they whent to port!

Hello,
It looks like the traditional order to the helmsman "Hard-a-Starboard" meaning that he had to turn the wheel counter-clockwise, ie to port, is nowadays forgotten. There is a good explanation why it was so in this reference:

Surely, people acquainted with somewhat smaller sailboats (with a tiller, no wheel) will understand easily.

Yes,this video was on this forum,long before 2008 version came out.
This video is well made,so the guy who gave this bad critics,is completly wrong.

Regardless of having seen it before, regardless of it using the correct terminology or not (grammar is different to terminology, if we started a slagging match on grammar used on the forum then most members who have English as a second language would be corrected every time they made a posting. I only have one language I have respect for anyone who can speak more than one). The maker, kanhf0514, states that this was their first video and I feel that credit should be given, if any negative comments are to be made than they should be constructive not destructive .
I thought that forums like this were expected to be friendly, maybe I shall have a think about if I want to be a member of something that decries every little mistake someone makes.
I respectfully ask the Moderators to allow my posting and to maybe restate the terms and conditions of forum membership and to actively discourage negative personal postings made towards fellow members. I don’t like my work to be picked over and dissected and I don’t suppose kanhf0514 does either, I am fully aware that comments were asked for but do we really need to so picky and blunt? For what it’s worth I don’t!
I will now get of my soap box / high horse or what ever you want to call it and await the attack on my comments!
