Title: Does Ship Simulator support JPEG textures
Post by: JHB on November 20, 2007, 09:29:53
Hello

I'm just asking this important question because I want to know what kind of file type I can store my textures in for a 3D model which is going to work with this game. ;)

Hi JHB :)

Ben gave me the following answer to your question:

'DDS is the best texture format to use (Use DXT1 for non alpha textures and DXT5 for alpha textures).   JPG will also work but is not reccomended.'

Kind regards

Thanks for the answer. I store this in the back of my head when I start texturing. ;)
