will the physics engine allow for hydrofoils in ss2008?

I dont think so,but there will be other nice vessels.

Guess, that would be not problem. The Hydrofoil-type is somewhat like a combination from hovercraft and high speed catamaran. And both will come within the SS08, the former some times later of course...

Ok so I have been surffing the Forum & in one area they do not want the "flying " bug & now we have a group looking for " flying ships "  seems funny to me.   Just kidding, could not help but interject some fun in here.   Love the forum of free ideas.

Tugs, patrol boats, cruise ships, research vessels, ferries, warships, cargo ships, oil tankers, fishing trawlers, monohull ships, catamarans, trimarans, hovercrafts and now hydrofoils. I wonder how many more type of ships we will be asking to put into this game.
