Title: Installing on Windows 10 Pro
Post by: nigelj on January 08, 2021, 21:18:35
Well, I didn't think I'd see myself back here!

But, I am! I've reinstalled ShipSim Extremes (updated to 1.5.5) on my Windows 10 Pro laptop (Microsoft Surface Book, 3000x2000 screen res - just a tad higher than was available when the game came out!).

SSE runs OK, and I've got the graphics settings I think set for the best results, but I'm not really sure about this. I've got the res set at 1280x768 which means it fills the screen and I can see everything, but a few things don't seem to be working or visible - the radar rotates once then stops on a dark screen, there's no other ships or objects on the chart, the distance and time to waypoint don't display, waypoints aren't visible when you click the button on the comming display.

Has anyone got SSE running on windows 10 pro...if so, could you share your setings so I cam compare?

Thanks

Hello nigelj,

SSE is running quite well on my Windows 10 Pro PC, with a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super at 5160 x 1080 res (3 LCDs), maximum graphic settings. Most players should have now Windows 10 running on their PC, shouldn't they?

Best and only guess, perhaps could you check that the graphics driver of the Surface Book is the latest one.

Good luck with your settings,
Luc
