Hello Everybody,

It is with much much sadness, that I have to inform you all that our dear friend Eric, a.k.a. Sadsid, has sadly passed away.

Eric was an extremely dedicated fan, moderator and contributor from the early days onward, not to mention a great person, and he will be very dearly missed.

On behalf of the entire staff here I would like to offer our condolences and wish his family and friends lots of strength in these difficult times.

Rest In Peace, Eric. Fair Winds and Following Seas!

Fred,
That is really very sad. I felt sure that Eric was unwell for some time now, but have not been in touch with him, mostly due to my mind being pretty fully occupied looking after my wife Beryl. For this news to come just a day after I attended the funeral of a very good and very old friend was pretty devastating. As you so rightly say Eric was a major contributor to the forum and a prolific mission builder, how very, very, sad to lose such a stalwart. There are so few of us oldies left now who are active on the forum, which is a great pity, but to actually lose someone like Eric is really tragic.
I wish his wife and family my dearest good wishes in their loss.

Truly sad indeed, and quite a shock. I'm very sorry to hear of your loss too. My condolences to you, my friend.
