Can anyone tell me if it is still possible to revive a multiplayer on SS08?
I use my MP on SSE but would love to know if and how this could be done on SS08 as i still prefer SS08 over SSE.
I have downloaded the SS08 multiplayer application but seem to have problems with the latest version of Questviewer.
If it is possible to get the MP going, the second problem is finding other players ofcourse.

I wouldn't mind seeing if its possible, my game account will not connect to the forum account.

Hello All,
I have been working on the re-installation for quite some time now (to find all the parts and get it installed the right way), but I'm happy to say it works again ! ;D
Thank you Stormforce for trying to connect us via the 2008 version again / GOOD JOB ! :2thumbs:
There are a few "old" players who'd like this too, as they told me, so I suggest you get at it / It works fine ! ::)
Regards,
Erik / "Redfox" in MP

By the way, what's the IP address & the port number of your server? When Pieter ran his one, it didn't appear on the server list of the game but you had to connect to it manually.

How on earth can we join any SS08 MP server when we even don't know its IP adress? If you want to run a public SS08 MP server, please specify your external IP adress here, or on the Notice Board at http://forum.shipsim.com/index.php/topic,15480.0.html (http://forum.shipsim.com/index.php/topic,15480.0.html). section. See attached document 'Shipsim user server.pdf' with instructions about setting-up any public SS08 MP server correctly. Go to https://www.whatismyip.com/ (https://www.whatismyip.com/) to discover your real external IP adress on which other players can connect to.
