Title: Windows 10
Post by: brian adley on April 19, 2016, 23:12:06
Good day.  I have a new PC running on Windows 10.  I have no info from my last PC but do have the CD and also a product key for Ship Simulator 2008 and another product code for New Horizons which I downloaded from the website.
A.  Can I run Shipsim on Windows 10?
B.  Can I download the New Horizons from the website?  I upgraded to New Horizons on the website.

Can anyone help me please?  Thanks.  Brian

ShipSim Xtremes is not offically supported by Windows 8 and Windows 10, but as Microsoft did a good job of backwards compatibility it works really well (though if you are running more than 4GB graphics card and another game in the background it wont work).
To redownload your game, you will need to go to shipshim.com and log back in and download from there

Hi Brian,
You should be able to play both games on a Windows 10 machine. I have no direct knowledge of Windows 10 I'm afraid, I chose to stick with Windows 7 which allows me to play all three Ship Simulator games with no problems.
If you bought New Horizons as a download from Vstep you can re-download again with no problem I feel sure. Possibly best to unregister it from your profile though, and then re-register on your new machine.
I apologise for the delay in responding to you request, and ask your forgiveness.

Angus.
