Title: Waves Not Showing When In Port

Good Evening,

  I Recently Built a New PC, and It's a Monster. So Naturally the First Thing I did was Open SSE and Max Everything Out. It Runs Flawlessly, Other than The Fact That the Waves Don't Show up In Port, Only When Offshore. Anybody Experienced this Issue?

P.S. Here are my system specs :2thumbs:

Intel i7 4790k 4.0GHz
16 Gigs DDR3
GeForce 980 GTX (Gigabyte Windforce OC Edition)
Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3 MOBO

Hi ryano1989,
Are you sure that there should be some waves showing? It is often the case that a particular mission has rough seas outside a port but calm waters inside. Does this occur in a particular mission, if so could you give the name of the mission please. If not, does it occur with ALL missions. The computer you describe should definitely NOT give any kind of problems with sea surface effects.

Hi ryano, it's normal that waves inside port are less high than outside. Do you perhaps mean wakes?
I think I remember this was an issue with Steam versions years ago, I don't know if it still is an issue..

Ah my apologies, yes this is with ship wakes. I am currently using a steam version. When I built this PC I had to buy a steam version because I was unable to recover my password and my old email from when I bought ship sim the first time.
